New York Times Academic Access

The Bounds Law Library provides Alabama Law faculty, staff, and students full-text access to the New York Times online content. This requires setting up a registered account. Once an account is registered, users can enjoy full access to NYTimes.com, INYT.com and NYT mobile apps from anywhere by logging into your NYTimes.com account.

To Register an Account

  • Visit the link located on the library's database listing or the dedicated link (if off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your law school username and password).
  • Once on the registration page, create an account using your law school email address or sign in with your already existing NYTimes.com account and indicate you are faculty.

To Maintain Access

  • Faculty and staff will need to occasionally re-authenticate their account using the steps above. They will also be given the opportunity to create an optional calendar reminder from the New York Times during the initial account setup.
  • Students will be asked to provide their anticipated year of graduation and will have access through the last day of December for that year.

Expired Pass?

If you have an access pass that has expired, you may activate a new pass by visiting NYTimes.com/GroupPass while connected to the Law School network.
