Locating Resources

SSRN (formerly know as Social Science Research Network) is a repository for preprints, working papers, and other forms of scholarly research. One of the largest and oldest subnetworks on SSRN is the Legal Scholarship Network or LSN. 

A large number of curated eJournals on the LSN help authors track relevant scholarship on the LSN by enabling email subscriptions. Some eJournals are free, while others are fee or subscription based and require a user account affiliated with an active subscription license. The Bounds Law Library has an institutional license for the LSN.

Interested members of the law faculty are invited to contact the library for more information about having their user account affiliated with the Law Library's institutional subscription.

Once an account has been affiliated with an institutional subscription, account owners can log in and set up email subscription alerts by

• Log into your account
• Find and click the link "Subscriptions" in the navigational menu on the left.
• In the first "Network" column, scroll down and find the Legal Scholarship Network and the link to "Click here to subscribe/unsubscribe to journals in this network"

You will now see a page that looks like this

You can expand or collapse the various options by clicking the arrow/carrots on the left.  Once you've expanded one of the options, you will now see something that looks like the below image. Please note that:

• You can subscribe to individual eJournals by checking the box next to the eJournal name (1). 
• The Plus/Minus icons (2) will automatically subscribe or unsubscribe to all eJournals in the category. Be sure only to press those if you genuinely want to subscribe or unsubscribe to every eJournal in that category.
• Any journal title in orange font requires a subscription fee.
