This suggested order is based on trying to find recreations of the print code online, then moving to ILL.

One good place to check for codes in print is the law library. However, not all codes are kept up-to-date.
The state codes that are kept up-to-date in the library are:
Provides access to PDF versions of the U.S.Code and Alabama Code. Also provides access to PDFs of older versions of state codes and 19th-century digests of state statutes. To find these state codes and digests, just look for "State Statutes: A Historical Archive" or "Session Laws Library."
Provides access to the U.S.Code as far back as 1994. The best ways to search for it would be to either select "Advanced Search" and refining by collection or selecting the "Browse" tab at the top of the page and selecting "A-Z," then look for the United State Code.
Provides PDF versions of the U.S.Code as far back as the 1994 Main Edition from the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the United States House of Representatives.
Provides the current version of the Alabama Code. You can find it by hovering over the "Home" tab and selecting "Alabama Constitution and Administrative Code"
