The Hispanic and Immigrant Center of Alabama (HICA) is a community development and advocacy organization that champions economic equality, civic engagement, and social justice for Latino families in Alabama. They offer a variety of programs that are designed to help families in need, such as the Community Economic Development Program and the Strong Families Program. One of the programs that they provide is Citizenship and Immigration Program, which works to improve the lives of Latinos new to Alabama by providing low-cost access to legal information and naturalization services with an authorized immigration representative. Some of the services that the provide include Naturalization, DACA, Family Based, and Humanitarian Services, as well as Immigration Services Fraud. However, it is important to note that, while the program provides access to this information, they do not provide legal representation for any court cases, including removal proceedings, asylum, and SIJS.
iMMi is a resource that provides immigrants in the U.S. with free resources to understand their legal options. Their platform offers an online screening tool, legal information, and referrals to nonprofit legal services organizations, all available at no cost. Immi was developed by the Immigration Advocates Network and Pro Bono Net, two nonprofit organizations committed to expanding access to justice for low-income immigrants.
