(Mostly) Free Resources

Government Websites

Government websites can be useful resources on a wide array of topics. Many government websites will offer information such as legislative materials, judicial decisions, and administrative law documents for free on their respective sites. However, there are so many government agencies in existence, it can be hard to know if there is an agency that covers your research focus. An easy way to check is to go to USA.gov. If users select the "About the U.S. and Its Government" tab, they'll find a link to an A-Z Index of U.S. Government Departments and Agencies.

This index provides the user with contact information for U.S. federal government departments and agencies, as well as their websites.

Bounds Law Library

Don't forget about your local university libraries! You can Bounds Law Library's catalog to see what materials we have available in print, as well as what materials we offer through online subscription services. You can also check out our list of databases to see what resources we have to offer. Just go to our main page and use the "Catalog" or "Research" tabs to get started.

Gorgas Library

Gorgas is home to many resources that cannot be found here at Bounds Law Library.

Once on their landing page, the most useful links to get you started on research would be "Databases," which will lead you to a list of nearly 700 databases that cover a wide range of subjects, "Publication Finder," which will allow you to search through all of the publications that Gorgas has to offer, and "Libraries Catalog".

You can also use the search bar to find resources.
