The law library has a multifunction copier (printer) and a Lexis printer next to the circulation desk, along with related supplies. There is also a computer lab in room 174 (other side of the Law Center) that has a multifunction copier (printer) and a Lexis printer. The multifunction copiers (printers) can also be used to scan directly to PDF for email. You may also make traditional copies, too.
Your account will be charged 5 cents per page for black and white print jobs and 15 cents a page for color print jobs.
In order to print from your laptop, you must install the PHAROS print driver, located here. After you install the PHAROS print driver you will see two new printer selections in your print dialog: LAW-BW and LAW-COLOR. Choosing one of these options will send the print job to the PHAROS printers.
Before the print job is sent you will be prompted to enter your first and last name. You will need your ACT Card to release the print job which requires you to load Bama Cash on your ACT Card using your eAccount. If you have a new ACT Card, you simply tap it against the card reader to unlock the touch panel (old ACT Cards require you to swipe). Select your print job by name on the touch panel and press the print button. You may send print jobs from your laptop via the PHAROS system using WiFi.
For issues with PHAROS printing contact Information Technology (IT).
For Lexis printing issues contact a reference law librarian at the circulation desk at the law library or email a reference librarian.
