One Good Case

One commonly recommended research technique is to find "One Good Case" and work outward from it. This technique relies on the law's extensive use of citations, which create citation networks connecting seemingly disparate sources. This method works particularly well with cases, in part due to some of the unique tools used for caselaw research, but the same concept can be used for other sources as well. The graph below illustrates citation networks in the "One Good Case" method.
