Electronic Resources Overview
There are a variety of online resources available to students and faculty. In general, these resources can be access in one of three ways.
Personalized Usernames and Passwords
Legal databases including Bloomberg Law, Lexis, and Westlaw are the primary resources that rely on personal passwords. You will find instructions for setting up personal passwords in this guide. Once created, passwords may only be recovered by the user or by vendor tech support.
Alabama Law Login Credentials
Resources that rely on your Law School credentials (userID@law.ua.edu) include all resources and services accessed via the Law Library's online catalog, webpage (Past Exams, Room and Item Booking, etc.) and most resources linked on the Law Library's A-Z databases page.
If you encounter technical difficulties access library databases and resources, contact Iain Barksdale in the Law Library for assistance.
University of Alabama Login Credentials
All other online resources, including campus services and databases provided by the Amelia Gayle Gorgas library will likely require your myBama or "CrimsonID" (userID@crimson.ua.edu) and/or your CWID.
Note: You may also need to setup DUO, UA's two-factor authentication tool, in order to access UA campus resources and services remotely.
