What is CALI?
CALI (Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction) hosts a library of over 1,000 interactive tutorials and quizzes written by law professors, peer reviewed by other law professors, and geared towards law students.
How do I access CALI?
The lessons are online, interactive, self-paced learning modules that cover a single legal topic. Most lessons contain hypothetical questions that end with a series of multiple-choice questions that vary in difficulty based on the answer you gave to the previous question. The feedback is instant, and scores are kept so you can keep track of how you are doing.
The podcasts give you another way to study. The recordings are 10 minutes long arranged in series by subject area. They are like mini lectures from a law professor that you can listen to on your commute to the law school in the morning. They are on narrow legal subjects delivered in a straightforward way. For example, property law has podcasts on the rule against perpetuities along with real covenants and servitudes of land.
